Dr. O’Morchoe was born in Dublin, Ireland and moved to this
country in 1968 at the age of seven. He received a B.A. in Biology
with Honors from Lawrence University in Appleton Wisconsin. His M.D.
degree was earned at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine
in Chicago Illinois. At the University of Utah Dr. O’Morchoe
did a fellowship in Intraocular Lens Research and Ophthalmic Pathology.
His internship in Internal Medicine was at the University of Illinois
at Urbana/Champaign. From there Dr. O’Morchoe moved to New Orleans
for his residency in Ophthalmology at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation
Hospital.
Dr. O’Morchoe joined Dr. Tom Case at the North Kitsap EyeCare
Center in 1992. Their practice merged with the Eye Clinic of Bremerton
in 1996 to form Pacific Eyecare. Dr. O’Morchoe is also the Medical
Director of the North Kitsap Surgery Center.
Dr. O’Morchoe is a General Ophthalmologist with a main emphasis
in cataract surgery and glaucoma treatment. He fully evaluates and
treats all general eye conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, macular
degeneration and diabetic retinal diseases. Dr. O’Morchoe is
one of the only surgeons in the area to perform state-of-the-art no-stitch,
small incision cataract surgery under topical (non-injection) anesthesia.
He also performs laser surgery in a clinic and out-patient setting.
Dr. O’Morchoe is Board Certified, a Fellow of the American Association
of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract
and Refractive Surgery.
